  12. ISSUE/PROBLEM

  14. NetWare v3.10 and v3.11 users have occasionally reported seeing a
  15. reduction in write speeds to file server disks.  Although the exact
  16. cause and context of this is not yet known, the speed reduction
  17. arises principally with heavy disk writes on a network with light
  18. traffic and fast (16- or 32-bit) LAN adapters in its network nodes. 
  19. No symptoms of data corruption or other system danger have been
  20. reported in conjunction with the write speed reduction.  This
  21. anomaly has not been reported on file servers 
  22. running NetWare v3.0.

  26. Novell is pursuing a solution to this issue.  A follow-up Technical
  27. Bulletin will be released when a solution is available.
